The classicWallStreetBets jokeWendy's Dumpster is the shrine to WallStreetBets' oldest joke: the lore and the pictures, plus every Wendy's in North America on one map.
When the 0DTEs go to zero, this is where the legends clock in. Read how a fast-food dumpster became a career path, see the bins, then play the game: we drop you on Street View outside a real Wendy's and you pin where you are.
Sir, this is a Wendy's.
Not Wendy's the company. Just the bins.
Every Wendy's in the United States and Canada on one map. Then we drop you on Street View outside one of them, cover up the sign, and make you pin the dumpster.
Round 1. Street View. Location redacted. Where are you?
The reveal. The actual dumpster, from above, scored in miles.
Tap the poster for the full-size version you can zoom into, or play the game for the live map with pinch and scroll zoom. Locations from Wendy's own store locator, Street View from Google, scoring from us.
On r/wallstreetbets, losing everything has one address. You buy the options, the options go to zero, and the next post says "see you behind the Wendy's dumpster." It is the subreddit's oldest running joke: the trader who blows up the account ends up working the bins out back, or doing worse than working back there. Nobody asks which Wendy's. There is only one.
For a decade the word Wendy's on that forum meant one thing: you blew up your account. Reddit data pulled in June 2026 found about 16,800 comments mentioning Wendy's across the trading subreddits, with roughly one in six literally mentioning a dumpster, and more than 95% of the Wendy's talk being the meme rather than the stock.
This site is the dumpster's permanent address. The history with dates and sources, the real bins, the memes as the sub posted them, and a map of every Wendy's on the continent, so the next time someone says see you behind Wendy's, you know exactly where.

Dates and numbers below are from the sources linked under each entry. The jokes are the community's. The losses were real.
The Office, season four. Michael Scott dials a number he thinks belongs to a woman and gets a Wendy's employee. The line becomes the internet's way of telling someone their rant is in the wrong place. Wendy's is already the punchline before the subreddit exists.
Jaime Rogozinski, 30, starts a subreddit for trades too stupid for r/investing. Tagline that stuck: "like 4chan found a Bloomberg terminal." Membership hits about 100,000 by the end of 2016.
4chan greentext stories about a grown man trading "good boy points" for chicken tenders cross over to WSB, where tendies become the word for gains. "I've been a good boy and saved up 50 GBP this week... now I can dine on tendies ALL WEEKEND." Wendy's sells tendies. The two jokes start sharing a parking lot.
Somewhere in the loss-porn years the joke settles into its final form: blow up the account, report for duty behind the Wendy's. Every loss post gets the same reply. It is never about the stock. It is the sub agreeing on where the story ends. By 2026 an analytics firm can describe it as "one of the oldest running jokes on the subreddit."
u/1R0NYMAN builds a box spread on Robinhood that he believes is risk-free, turning a $5,000 account into $300,000 of credit. It goes tits up. Loss: about $58,000, a return of negative 1,832.99%. The phrase becomes the sub's motto for any trade about to meet the dumpster.
"It literally can't go tits up."
u/ControlTheNarrative finds the Robinhood infinite-leverage glitch, turns $2,000 into roughly $50,000 of buying power, buys Apple puts, and records himself watching the position lose about $45,000 in a day. At the end of the clip he makes a sound. Not a word. A noise. Know Your Meme calls it "the sound of a soul leaving a man's body." Every loss on the sub has been scored to it since.
"Guh."
GME rises more than 600% by January 26 and the subreddit goes from 2.06 million members on January 24 to 6.2 million on January 29. Hedge funds, congressional hearings, a movie. For one week the Wendy's dumpster is quoted on cable news by people who have to have it explained to them.
A post by u/Chillznday: "Well this one is obvious but Wendy's Chicken Tendies. Literally the perfect stock for this sub." WEN jumps more than 25% in an afternoon to an all-time high. The bit had finally eaten the ticker.
A customer tells the Wendy's account that Burger King also has spicy chicken nuggets. The official reply: "Yeah, and there's also water in the bottom of the dumpster out back, if you're thirsty." r/clevercomebacks picks it up. The company that has never endorsed any of this knows exactly where its dumpster is.
"There's also water in the bottom of the dumpster out back, if you're thirsty."
With 23% of the float sold short and a new CFO announced on June 23, the sub does it again. WEN goes from a $6.26 close to an $8.89 intraday high, almost 30%, on 202 million shares, fifteen times the average and the biggest single day since March 2020. Reddit mentions run in single digits for 17 hours, then 27 at 6pm, 114 the next hour, 129 by 4am. The posts split three ways: squeeze math, the new management, and dumpster jokes.
"Save Wendy's before it's too late."
Every cycle ends in the same parking lot.
Robinhood glitches in 2019. GameStop in 2021. Wendy's itself in 2021 and again in 2026. The tickers change, the leverage changes, the losses get bigger, and the last line of every story is identical. That is what makes it lore instead of a joke. A joke gets old. Lore gets repeated on purpose.
Wall Street has a language for losing money that makes it sound like weather. WSB built its own: GUH, loss porn, tits up, the dumpster. It is the only place in finance where a man can post a negative 1,832% return and get congratulated on the screenshot.
The dumpster is the sub's version of a handshake. It says: you lost, we all lost, the shift starts at six. Nobody gets banned for it. Nobody gets rich from it. It is the one thing 19.9 million people on that forum have agreed on for ten years.
This site exists so the joke has somewhere to live that is not a comment section. A permanent address. A place to point at after the next GUH.
Not Wendy's the company. Wendy's has never endorsed any of this. The chain sells burgers and Frostys and has a social media team that once roasted GameStop. The dumpster belongs to the people out back.
The photo that started it, then the real thing across the country. Send yours and they go up here.

The joke in the wild. Every image below is a real post; the caption is the post title and the link goes to the thread and the person who posted it. Comment sections are their own problem.

Got slipped → clocked in behind Wendy's. See you there.
No. Wendy's the company has nothing to do with this and never has. The logo on this page is the logo on the building the dumpster sits behind.
A shrine to the oldest joke on r/wallstreetbets: the documented history, the real dumpsters, the memes as the sub posted them, and a game built on every Wendy's in the United States and Canada.
No. Nothing is for sale on this site and nothing will be. Come for the lore and the pictures, stay for the game.
You get dropped into Street View outside a real Wendy's with the location covered up. Look around, pin the map, lock it in, and the satellite view reveals the actual building and the distance in miles. Five shifts a night, ranks from "Sir, this is a Wendy's" up to Bin Boss.
Wen dumpster renovation.
